With an abundance of caution concerning the corona virus situation, and the advice to avoid large groups and practice social distancing, Carbon Valley Rotary has decided to cancel this year's Easter Egg Hunt that was scheduled for Saturday, April 11.
Three of Rotary's six areas of focus are disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, and maternal and child health. Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for over 30 years, and the lessons learned in cooperation with the W.H.O. and CDC helped stem the Ebola virus some years back. Now we are facing a new virus and threat much more widespread. Our club's focus has always been the Carbon Valley Community, and Rotary's motto is Service Above Self. Holding the Easter Egg Hunt does not serve our community - NOT HAVING IT does.
